# Web Directions conference registration

> Web Directions runs technology and design conferences in Australia, including AI Engineer Sydney. This file tells AI agents how to help a person register. An agent can look up events, passes and prices, get an exact quote, and hand the person a pre-filled checkout link. The person always completes the booking: they acknowledge any required notice and pay by card, or ask for an emailed invoice. Nothing is booked until they do.

Opens our checkout with those passes in the basket and the code applied. Passes are named by their stable pass code (from Event details), so a link keeps working when prices change. Team bookings use `https://register.webdirections.org/{event}/team?tickets=conference:8,conference-workshop:4`. The quote endpoint returns the right link for you.

## Things to know

- **Prices change by date.** Quote from the API rather than reading prices off a web page; every quote says until when its price holds.
- **Prices include GST** (Australian goods and services tax).
- **Discount codes** from speakers and partners take a set amount off each ticket. Quote with the code to check it applies.
- **Teams of 5 or more** can book at team prices, in any mix of Conference and Conference + Workshop Day, with one free Leadership upgrade for every 5 tickets. Team bookings don't take discount codes.
- **AI Engineer events** ask the person registering to acknowledge that their registration details are shared with Software 3.0 Inc., the AI Engineer licensor. Event details gives the exact wording. The person acknowledges it themselves at checkout.
- **Payment** is by card, or by an emailed invoice their organisation can pay by bank transfer. Agents don't pay on someone's behalf.
- Please don't automate bulk or speculative bookings. The API is rate-limited, and checking unrecognised discount codes is throttled.
